Developing a sustainable industry

Beatex is a knowledge and collaboration platform for apparel-sector companies, Business Support Organisations and governments. We bring European expertise together with local insight to help organisations build stronger businesses, more capable teams and more sustainable industries.

A strategy creates value only when people can put it into practice.

That is our starting point. We combine behaviour design, commercial thinking, sector knowledge and practical capacity building, working inside environments that need change.

Author of Het waait niet vanzelf over, a book for managers on how to respond to transgressive behaviour.

Progress happens when the right people connect, when people's capacity to act is called on and strengthened, when fresh ideas are tested, and when organisations are equipped to act on new opportunities.

What we do

Where business growth and personal growth meet

Business development

We help companies and sector organisations identify market opportunities and translate them into business strategies. This can include export planning, market positioning, product innovation, sustainable sourcing, buyer engagement and building international partnerships.

People and partnerships

Sectors, companies and people want change and look for opportunities. With behaviour design methods we develop gamechangers who design interventions that work. We connect manufacturers and buyers, experts and local organisations, and people with different skills and perspectives. We also support initiatives that build confidence, leadership and entrepreneurship, such as the Women of Myanmar initiative.

Training and implementation

Our training is practical and tailored to each organisation. Where needed, we complement workshops with individual guidance and implementation roadmaps.

  • Product development
  • Digitalisation
  • CSR
  • Circularity

Entrepreneurship Bootcamp

Giovanni and Natasja organised a bootcamp on entrepreneurial thinking and market-oriented business development. Through practical exercises and interactive sessions, participants learned to recognise opportunities, shape ideas into actionable plans and strengthen the commercial mindset needed to build viable initiatives.

Business & Talent Development

Beatex supported leather manufacturers in building the capabilities to compete internationally: export marketing, sales, costing, product development, production efficiency, CSR, carbon footprint and supply-chain transparency. Ethiopian businesses were connected with European companies, leading to new relationships and better export planning.

Over nine months we also ran a talent development programme with meetups, strength sharing, exercises and lectures on topics such as bias, supported by an online platform and multimedia.

Apparel and Home Textiles Market Development

Beatex works with apparel and home-textile manufacturers on commercial growth and access to European markets. Support includes export and CSR strategies, target-customer selection, costing, product development, production efficiency and supply-chain transparency. Matchmaking helps companies build buyer relationships and find new business.

During the group's visit to the Netherlands, Beatex gave interactive lectures on bias against women in the workplace.

Circular Transition of the Tunisian Apparel Sector

This programme helps manufacturers move from linear practices towards circular business models. Giovanni contributes company assessments and guidance on resource efficiency, production, carbon-footprint calculation, CSR and export planning. Companies identify practical circular opportunities while preparing for the sustainability expectations of European markets.

Strengthening Myanmar's Apparel Industry

Giovanni trained and advised about 25 garment factories on sales, marketing, costing, sourcing, supply-chain management, production efficiency, CSR and EU market requirements. A central goal was helping suppliers move from Cut-Make-Pack (CMP) to Free on Board (FOB), taking more responsibility for sourcing, product development and customer relationships. He also supported business development and participation in Texworld Paris.
